OM4 50/125µm multimode fibre: Engineered for superior performance, this laser-optimised fibre supports high-speed data transmission over longer distances compared to previous multimode generations.
Riser-rated jacket: The cable features a flame-retardant outer jacket (OFNR or OFN-LS) suitable for installation in vertical shafts and between floors, ensuring safety regulations are met.
High bandwidth: With a high effective modal bandwidth of 4700 MHz·km, OM4 fibre provides excellent signal integrity and minimal signal loss, making it ideal for demanding, high-bandwidth applications.
Durable construction: The cable is constructed with a tough, yet flexible jacket that provides mechanical protection for the internal fibres. Aramid yarn reinforcing enhances tensile strength.
Colour-coded jacket: The jacket is typically aqua, a standard colour for OM3 and OM4. Some manufacturers, like Startech, use Erika Violet to clearly distinguish OM4.
Tight buffered fibres: Featuring 900µm tight buffered fibres, this cable allows for easy and direct termination without the need for additional fanout kits.
